a) Use IUPAC nomenclature to name isomers.
b) State the general formula for alcohols.
c) Identify the functional group of alcohols.
c) List the names and molecular formulae of the first four alcohols.
Activities Construct a table of names and molecular formulae for the first four alcohols.
Noble Values Appreciating the contribution of science and technology.
Teaching Aids a) Textbook
b) Reference book
c) Power point slide show
Reflection Students does not have any problems in naming and draw the structural formula for alcohol. But they have a bit difficulty in naming the isomers of alkane and alkene. Teacher have to guide them each time they want to give name for alkane and alkene.

Reflection Only 14 students understands today's lesson and can do the exercises given. The rest of them confuse and do not pay attention during the class.

Reflection 10 of the students do not really master this topic because teacher need to explain several time until they get the knowledge. Teacher are suggest to give more exercises to students.
