Reflection

All of students seat according to mentor-mentee group. They do it by their own first then discuss with friends when they are confuse. Students also ask teacher when they do not understand the questions and do not know how to give the correct answers. Teacher monitors and guides them to make sure they are able to do all the questions.

Guru hanya memberi 15 perkataan untuk dieja oleh pelajar dan perkataan tersebut ada sedikit sukar untuk dieja. Guru mendapati tiada seorang pun pelajar yang dapat mengeja semua perkataan dengan betul. Guru memberikan jawapan yang betul bagi setiap perkataan sebagai rujukan pelajar.

Teacher discusses previous exercises with students regarding subtopic implication. Teacher discovers that all of students are able to give the correct answers for all of the questions given by teacher. This shows that they are able to identify the antecedent and consequences leading them to give an implication.

Today's objectives are achieved. Students understand better after teacher shows animations about crystallization process and distillation process. Teacher repeats the animation several time to get students understand well and observe it clearly. Students are able to state the characteristics of substances to the methods of purification shown by teacher.

All of students do the questions for Paper 2. They do by themselves first and then discuss among members if they do not understand. Teacher monitors and guides them. From teacher's observation, almost 30 of the students do not do revision on form 4 topics by their own. Therefore they are unable to give the correct answers and many terms they not remember the meaning. Teacher has to help them by recall their previous knowledge. Only then they are able to give the correct answer.

Students do objective questions for paper 1. After discuss, no one of them got it all correct. The highest is 18 over 20. However, most of them are able to answer the questions. Teacher shows sample questions for paper 2 and explain how to give the answer for essay questions. Teacher also telling them how the marks are given.

Mereka tidak mampu untuk membuat karangan tanpa bimbingan dari guru. Guru membincangkan isi bersama pelajar supaya senang bagi mereka untuk mengarang nanti.

Reflection

At first students get confuse of redox reaction in term of loss or gain of oxygen and loss or gain of hydrogen. Teacher shows many examples to help them understand better. Teacher gives exercises to evaluate student's understanding. During discussion, teacher discovers that most of the students are able to identify which substance involves in oxidation, reduction process and which substance is oxidizing agent and reducing agent. Only two students still weak. Teacher helps both of them by teaching personally.

Today's objectives are achieved. All of students understand well today lesson because they still remember the previous lesson. They just have to compare between ionic and covalent bond. After explanation by teacher with examples about the differences between ionic compound and covalent compound in terms of electrical conductivity, melting point, boiling point and solubility, students are able to explain back the main point. 4 of the students also able to state the uses of covalent compound as solvents.
